County Judge Robert Eckels announced today that every public school in Harris County would soon have a weather radio, giving school officials immediate disaster notification. “This is a safety issue for our entire community,” said Judge Eckels. “With these radios, school officials will be notified at the same time as Emergency Management officials of any severe weather or other disaster, allowing them that extra critical time to take the roper precautions with their students.” |
