Children and Flood Waters
Do not allow children to play in floodwaters. Hazards can include downed power lines which can electrify the water and missing manhole covers. Fast moving waters could sweep you off your feet. Severe Weather Update
Shelters Now Open
The Red Cross is opening two shelters in Northwest Harris County for area residents affected by today’s floods:
1. Copperfield Church, 8350 Hwy. 6 North, Houston, TX 77095 at 10 a.m. – 540 capacity.
2. Creek United Methodist Church, 16000 Rippling Water, Houston, TX 77084 at 11 a.m. – 300 capacity.

Due to flooding in our area, the Harris County Office of Homeland Security& Emergency Management (OHSEM) is urging people to be cautious when driving in flooded roadways.
