Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, July 25, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be alternating lane closures on SH-6 between PARK ROW and MEMORIAL on Saturday, July 26 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
. There will be alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound ELDRIDGE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Sunday, July 27 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between WILCREST and BELTWAY 8 will be closed nightly from 9 PM, Friday, July 25 to 5 AM, Saturday, July 26 and from 9 PM, Saturday, July 26 to 5 AM, Monday, July 28. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and BELTWAY 8 will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, July 25 to 5 AM, Saturday, July 26 and from 9 PM, Saturday, July 26 to 5 AM, Monday, July 28.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between BELTWAY 8 and WILCREST from 9 PM, Monday, July 28 through 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Detour to the westbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes after Kirkwood.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from 9 PM, Monday, July 28 through 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Detour to the Memorial exit to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road, turn left on the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter the westbound mainlanes.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from 9 PM, Monday, July 28 through 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Detour to the Westview exit to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road, right on the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter the westbound mainlanes.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between GESSNER and BELTWAY 8 from 9 PM, Tuesday, July 29 to 5 AM, Wednesday, July 30. Detour to the westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound ramp to BELTWAY 8 northbound from 9 PM, Tuesday, July 29 to 5 AM, Wednesday, July 30. Detour to the westbound frontage road to turn right on the Beltway 8 frontage road northbound and enter the Beltway 8 northbound mainlanes after Westview.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound from 9 PM, Tuesday, July 29 through 5 AM, Wednesday, July 30. Detour to the westbound frontage road to turn left on the Beltway 8 frontage road southbound and enter the Beltway 8 southbound mainlanes after Memorial.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between CAMPBELL and BELTWAY 8 from 10 PM, Thursday, July 31 through 5 AM, Friday, August 1. Detour to the westbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes after Gessner.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. Saturday, July 26 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Detour to the TC Jester exit ramp.
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed, Saturday, July 26 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. beginning 9 PM, Monday, July 28 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Detour via the I-10 eastbound ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to continue to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to I-10/East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/West Loop northbound ramp to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound beginning 9 PM, Monday, July 28 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Traffic will detour northbound on I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound I-10/East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/West Loop southbound ramp to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound beginning 9 PM, Monday, July 28 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Detour to exit at Old Katy Road; make a left on Old Katy Road to Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound entrance from Silber beginning 9 PM, Monday, July 28 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left on North Post Oak, right on Old Katy Road and right on Washington to access I-10 eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Woodway entrance ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound beginning 9 PM, Monday, July 28 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 29. Continue northbound on the I-610/West Loop frontage road and make a right on Memorial, turn left on Westcott to I-10 eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. to I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 9 PM, Tuesday, July 29 until 5 AM, Wednesday, July 30. Detour to the Washington Avenue exit and turn right to continue to Old Katy Road to the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes after Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound from 9 PM, Tuesday, July 29 to 5 AM, Wednesday, July 30. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road, turn right to the I-610 northbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes before 18th Street. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, turn left on North Post Oak to the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.

. Two inside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between BELTWAY 8 and CAMPBELL will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, August 1 to 5 AM, Sunday, August 3.
. There will be alternating closures of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance and exit ramps between BELTWAY 8 and CAMPBELL from 9 PM, Friday, August 1 to 5 AM, Sunday, August 3. Detour to the next ramp.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit to WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. Sunday, August 2 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed Sunday, August 2 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
