Notice to Katy Web Subscribers

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND ON SH-6 OVERPASS BRIDGE

This weekend, April 26-27, Texas Department of Transportation contractor, Williams Brothers, will continue construction activities associated with the placing of bridge beams for the new SH-6 overpass bridge. Closures associated with this work are as follows:

• Eastbound and westbound Park Row at SH-6 will be closed Saturday, April 26 from 7 AM to 3 PM. Eastbound traffic will detour right on SH-6 to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and turn left, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6. Westbound traffic will detour right on SH-6 to Clay Road and turn left, proceed to Barker Cypress and turn left to the I-10 westbound frontage road.

• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed daily Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM. Traffic will detour to SH-6 southbound, turn left on Grisby to the SH-6 northbound frontage road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road. Law enforcement will be stationed in the area to facilitate the movement of traffic in this area.

• Northbound SH-6 at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed daily Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6.

• One inside lane of the SH-6 northbound frontage road between Memorial and Park Row will be closed daily Saturday, April 26 and Sunday April 27 from 7 AM to 3 PM.

• There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road between Eldridge and SH-6 on Sunday, April 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM.

Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area. Please note that all closures are subject to change due to inclement weather.
