Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, March 7, 2008.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between DAIRY ASHFORD and SH-6 will be closed Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 from 5 AM to 10 AM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between WILCREST and GESSNER nightly Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter mainlanes via the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right at Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY HOV Lane will be closed nightly Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11 from 10 PM to 5 AM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from BINGLE/VOSS RD. daily on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Traffic should exit at Bunker Hill to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access Bingle/Voss Rd.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from BINGLE/VOSS RD. from 9 PM to 5 AM on Monday, March 10. Traffic should exit at Bunker Hill to the eastbound frontage road to access Bingle/Voss Rd.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 6 AM to 6 PM, Saturday, March 8. Northbound traffic detour along the eastbound frontage road to U-turn at the signalized intersection for Bunker Hill to the westbound frontage road to Gessner. Southbound traffic detour on the westbound frontage road to U-turn at the Beltway 8 frontage road to the eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
. One inside lane of northbound and southbound BINGLE/VOSS RD. between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road and LAS ALAMEDAS WAY will be closed between 9 PM, Friday, March 7 and 5 AM, Monday, March 10.
. There will be alternate lane closures along the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BINGLE/VOSS RD. and CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. from 6 AM to 6 PM daily on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9.

CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, March 14 through 5 AM, Monday, March 17. Northbound traffic will detour on the eastbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour on the westbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection for Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. from 4 AM to MIDNIGHT on Saturday, March 15. I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to continue to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East. Alternately, I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound traffic may detour via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop southbound to US 59/Southwest Freeway, and travel north to access I-10/East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from 4 AM to MIDNIGHT on Saturday, March 15. Continue northbound to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from 4 AM to MIDNIGHT on Saturday, March 15. Detour to exit at Old Katy Road, make a left on Old Katy Road and a right on Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the SILBER entrance ramp tunnel to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from 4 AM to MIDNIGHT on Saturday, March 15. Detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road and turn left on North Post Oak, right on Old Katy Road and right on Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. The WOODWAY entrance ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed from 4 AM to MIDNIGHT on Saturday, March 15. Continue northbound on the I-610/West Loop frontage road and make a right on Memorial, turn left on Westcott to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. Two inside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from west of WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. to east of I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed from 6 AM to NOON on Saturday, March 15.
