Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, December 7, 2007.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. THE NEW BELTWAY 8 DIRECT CONNECTORS TO I-10/KATY FREEWAY EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND WILL BE OPENED TO TRAFFIC EFFECTIVE NOON, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound, including the I-10/Katy HOV LANE, between WILCREST and GESSNER overnight from 10 PM, Friday, December 7 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 8. Detour to the respective frontage roads.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from WILCREST overnight from 10 PM, Friday, December 7 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 8. Detour to the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp after Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight from 10 PM, Friday, December 7 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 8. Detour right at Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight from 10 PM, Friday, December 7 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 8. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, make U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access the Beltway 8 southbound frontage.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 north- and southbound overnight from 10 PM, Friday, December 7 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 8. Motorists destined to Beltway 8 northbound detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. Motorists destined to Beltway 8 southbound detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound at MEMORIAL nightly Saturday, December 8 to Monday, December 10 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Boheme and Memorial exits to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between the WILCREST entrance ramp and BELTWAY 8 Saturday, December 8 from 6 AM to 12 PM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 southbound nightly Saturday, December 8 to Monday, December 10 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound nightly Saturday, December 8 to Monday, December 10 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Westbound traffic will detour to exit at Hammerly (tolls will be waived), U-turn to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and access the I-10 westbound mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Wilcrest.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. The contractor will switch traffic unto the new westbound frontage road pavement between GESSNER and BUNKER HILL Saturday, December 8, to perform this traffic switch There alternate lanes closed of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed from 7 AM to 7 PM.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road east of SILBER will be reduced to one lane effective Sunday, December 9 until June 2008.
. Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BINGLE and CHIMNEY ROCK and between ANTOINE and POST OAK will be closed daily Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from BUNKER HILL the beginning 7 AM, Saturday, December 8 until August 1, 2008. I-10 westbound traffic will detour to the entrance ramp from Gessner. Beltway 8 north- and southbound traffic will detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road via the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GESSNER Saturday, December 8 from 7 AM to 7 PM. Detour to the Bunker Hill exit ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of ADKIN STREET at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road beginning 7 AM, Monday, December 10 until 7 PM, Friday, December 14. Local traffic will detour via Blalock and Westview to and from Adkins.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to ANTOINE Saturday, December 15 from 7 AM to 7 PM. Detour via Bingle/Voss exit to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of ANNE STREET at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from 7 AM, Friday, December 14 until 7 PM, Tuesday, December 18. Local traffic will detour via Campbell and Westview to and from Anne Street.
