Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, October 26, 2007.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Friday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 31 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between WILCREST and BELTWAY 8 beginning 9 PM, Friday, October 26 until 9 PM, Saturday, October 27. Detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes. Business and apartment complex access in the area will be maintained.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8 beginning 9 PM, Friday, October 26 until 6 AM, Saturday, October 27. Westbound traffic will detour right on Lumpkin to Westview, make a left on Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound direct connector ramp to I-10 eastbound nightly beginning 10 PM, Friday, October 26 until 5 AM, Saturday, October 27. Detour via I-10 westbound direct connector ramp and exit Kirkwood, U-Turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road, U-turn at Kimberley and follow Queensbury detour.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER nightly beginning Saturday, October 27 to Wednesday, October 31 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between GESSNER and WILCREST nightly beginning Saturday, October 27 to Wednesday, October 31 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Saturday, October 27 to Wednesday, October 31 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy HOV LANE between WILCREST AND GESSNER nightly beginning Saturday, October 27 to Wednesday, October 31 from 10 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 southbound nightly beginning Saturday, October 27 to Wednesday, October 31 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 northbound nightly beginning Saturday, October 27 to Wednesday, October 31 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from BLALOCK/ECHO LANE beginning 9 PM, Friday, October 26 until Thursday, November 22. Eastbound traffic will detour to the entrance ramp from Bingle/Voss Road.
. The outside lane of northbound GESSNER just north of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, October 26 until 6 PM, Sunday, October 28.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON/WESTCOTT ST will be closed Saturday, October 27 from 8 AM to 11 AM.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, November 2 until 5 AM, Monday, November 5. Northbound traffic will detour right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner. Southbound traffic will detour right on the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Beltway 8 to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner. The eastbound to westbound U-turn at Gessner will remain open.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. Two inside lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes will be closed between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON/WESTCOTT ST Wednesday, October 31 from 10 PM to 5 AM. One outside lane will remain open.
. Two inside lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes will be closed between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON/WESTCOTT ST Friday, November 2 from 10 PM to 5 AM. One outside lane will remain open.
