Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, August 10, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and eastbound U-turns at SH-6 will be closed until further notice.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound U-turn at Kirkwood will be closed Saturday, August 11 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
. The right lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage east of Kirkwood will be closed on Monday, August 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
. The left lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road east of Dairy Ashford will be closed on Monday, August 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
. The left lane of southbound DAIRY ASHFORD under the I-10 mainlanes will be closed on Monday, August 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
. The left lane of southbound KIRKWOOD north of I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Monday, August 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8-WEST and BRITTMOORE will be closed tonight, Friday, August 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour north on the Beltway-8 West northbound frontage road, west on Westview, south on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER beginning 5 AM, Saturday, August 11 until 5 AM, Monday, August 13. Traffic will detour at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes just east of Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to southbound BELTWAY 8-WEST from 5 AM, Saturday, August 11 until 5 AM, Monday, August 13. Southbound traffic should take the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY and the Beltway 8-West northbound frontage road flyover bridge from 5 AM, Saturday, August 11 until 5 AM, Monday, August 13. Traffic will detour east on Queensbury to Town and Country, north on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 5 AM, Saturday, August 11 until 5 AM, Monday, August 13. Southbound traffic will detour to the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road flyover bridge.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8-WEST and BRITTMOORE will be closed Friday, August 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour north on the Beltway-8 West northbound frontage road, west on Westview, south on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.

Traffic will detour at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes just east of Wilcrest.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to northbound and southbound BELTWAY 8-WEST nightly from 10 PM to 5 AM, Monday, August 13 thru Thursday, August 16.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY and the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road flyover bridge nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday, August 13 thru Thursday, August 16. Traffic will detour west on Westview to Brittmoore, south on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday, August 13 until Thursday, August 16.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Saturday, August 11 until 5 AM, Sunday, August 12. Northbound traffic will detour east on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine and u-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour west on the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle/Voss and u-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Wednesday, August 15 to 5 AM, Thursday, August 16. Northbound traffic will detour east on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber and u-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour west on the I-10 westbound frontage road to Chimney Rock/Wirt and u-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
